RT100-B
The RT100-B LIBS system is an ideal tool for material discrimination. It houses an ICCD-coupled broadband spectrometer that allows users to collect LIBS spectra from 200 nm to 900 nm with a single laser shot. By coupling broadband LIBS spectra with ASI's proprietary chemometrics software package, the RT100-B can discern even the most complex of materials with a high degree of accuracy.
The RT100-B’s wide variety of options makes it configurable to work well both in laboratory and production environments. Based on the RT100-HP's robust, proven platform, the RT100-B continues to set the industry standard for accurate and repeatable broadband LIBS analysis.
System Features:
An integrated laser ablation system
The RT100-B LIBS system uses an Nd:YAG laser for ablating samples. The laser wavelength is carefully chosen to provide the best analytical results for each customer’s unique application.
Optimized plasma light collection
The RT100-B incorporates a unique design that efficiently collects light emitted from the LIBS plasma. This capability is crucial for achieving highly accurate and repeatable test results.
Designed for flexible sampling protocols
The RT100-B houses a 3D (X- Y- Z) translational stage with excellent scan ranges. Various spatial sampling patterns can be programmed to yield a highly automated LIBS measurement experience.
ASI hardware technology enhances data precision
One of the critical system requirements for achieving improved LIBS data precision is a consistent laser focus to the sample surface. With patent-pending ASI hardware technology, our customers are assured that their LIBS measurements are accurate and repeatable.
Echelle Spectrometer with ICCD detector
The RT100-B incorporates an Echelle spectrometer with ICCD camera to reduce background interference and enhance detection sensitivity. Independent ICCD camera control includes detection parameter settings, such as gate delay, gate width and signal gain, which allow the operator to achieve superior signal-to-noise and signal-to-continuum performance. Using an Eschelle spectrometer allows the RT100-B to capture LIBS spectra regions ranging from UV to NIR with a single laser shot. ASI’s technical sales staff helps customers choose the right ICCD camera for their specific Echelle-based LIBS analyses.
ASI chemometric software package
ASI’s proprietary chemometric software utilizes a set of highly sophisticated statistical algorithms to add material discrimination capability to our LIBS instruments. Proven through extensive testing of a wide range of materials with different interferents, ASI’s chemometric software package adds another level of analytical capability for our customers.
Calibration standards development
LIBS is a versatile analytical technique and, with the proper sampling methodologies, LIBS can accurately quantify many elements accurately down to the ppm level. As with many quantitative analytical techniques, the availability of appropriate calibration standards ensures measurement accuracy. With our scientific team's 80-plus years of combined laser ablation knowledge, ASI is well suited to develop such calibration standards and to recommend the optimal laser and detection parameters for your LIBS analysis. No other LIBS equipment manufacturer can offer this level of technical knowledge and application support.
Software control
ASI's LIBS system software features a simple, intuitive graphical interface that allows multiple users to operate the system software with different access privileges. Thus, the same RT100-B can be used by production line operators to simply run a prepared measurement recipe for routine quality control work, or by the laboratory scientists to perform cutting-edge elemental research.
